Prospectus for Paper

Josh's monument is located in Kindred, ND and is there in remembrance of those from the area who were involved in the Spanish American War. He plans to get a list of the individuals to whom the monument is dedicated and get their service records. He also plans to use local and county histories to gain more of an insight into what importance this particular conflict had to the people of Kindred. If they exist, he will track down descendants of those involved and see what information has been passed to them over the years. He will compare the monument's importance to the community at the time of dedication to the present importance of the monument.

Some primary documents he will work on obtaining include: records of the financing of the monument, a program from the dedication, copies of speeches, service records, sexton records, and articles from Kindred Tribune and/or Fargo Forum.

Good, thanks for posting. Now that you're getting to know a little more about the subject, I encourage you to go back in and edit or amplify the prospectus, giving a little more detail.

Many thanks, Josh, for getting on board with your home page & bio. You have the information down, and now I want you to revise the rhetoric a bit. Take it out of the first person (using "I") and put it into the third person. Most all historical writing is done in third person, and so I'm emphasizing that.
